Request Cancel or Close

Putting a Record Request into a final Status

Greenlight provides two "end states" for shuttering activity on a Record Request.

These calls set the Request's Status.

Both of these end states will stop activity new in the API for these Requests, but there is a difference in what you can see and fetch afterward.

  • CANCELLED - Once a Record Request is CANCELLED, the metadata about the Order (order Ids) and the Request (name and address of facility involved) are preserved, but everything else is no longer available. You can no longer see Changes data for this Request, nor fetch any documents or data.
  • CLOSED - Once a Record Request is CLOSED, all information available at time of CLOSE remain available to you. For example, you could view Changes data and fetch documents or data, if it was already available at the time you CLOSED the Request.

See the API Reference for more details on these two endpoints.
